Harvey A Williams Jr

Harvey A. Williams, Jr, age 75, passed away on June 1, 2023.   A devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, he will be sadly missed by all.

Harvey was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 12, 1947. He graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965 and soon after joined the United States Air Force. He served in Okinawa, Vietnam and taught munitions at the USAF Academy.

In 1969 he married the love of his life, Doreen Dickinson, they had 3 children and spent 54 wonderful years together.  After his Air Force service he embarked on a long and successful career in the Jewelry business in Denver, Las Vegas and San Diego eventually retiring in San Diego. His sales skills are legendary.

He was a lifelong Mason and Past Potentate of Zelzah Shrine Temple. In addition he was Worthy Grand Patron of Eastern Star and State Rainbow Dad.

Harvey and Doreen loved boating and traveling especially cruises having just completed a 30 day cruise to Australia and South Pacific.

He is survived by wife Doreen; children Sandy, Harvey III and Christina; siblings Marilyn, Flora, Deeann, Danny and Bobby. He also leaves behind many Grandchildren and great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Palms Eastern Mortuary 7600 S. Eastern Ave on June 15, 2023 with a viewing at 1:00 PM and services at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Los Angeles.
