BARBARA LISBY DUCKSWORTH
Barbara Etta Lisby Ducksworth, a native of Las Vegas, went to be home with the Lord Feb. 4, 2017. She was born Sept. 13, 1946, to Lee Henry and Willie Ann (nee Claxton) Lisby, both deceased.
She graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended Community College of Southern Nevada. She retired from Clark County Juvenile Court as a probation officer. Barbara was a member of Cox Upper Room Church of God in Christ and sang alto in the Upperettes singing group. She is best known for her glorious voice, encouraging words and her humorous stories.
Barbara and James married and from their union Jason Kerrnigton Ducksworth was born. He preceded her in death, as well as her eldest sister; and two brothers. She is survived by three brothers; three sisters; her granddaughter, Yasmin; and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside service following at Palm Memorial Park.

Sorry to learn about Barbara's passing. We were de facto friends from community (Las Vegas, Westside) and elementary through high school. Although I cannot recall seeing or talking to her since LVHS graduation, she certainly has crossed my mind through the years. Rest in peace, Barbara!
