William Page Boyd, Jr.

William Page ‘Bill’ Boyd, Jr., 77 of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, was born June 12, 1947 in Peoria, IL to William, Sr. and Marie (Holden) Boyd and peacefully passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 in Fort Gibson with his family by his bedside.

Bill spent his early life in Peoria until 1964 when his family moved to Las Vegas, NV.   He graduated from Las Vegas High School, where he met his future wife, Terry Shaw.  He joined the United States Navy Reserves while in high school and was called to active duty on April 4, 1966 reporting to the USS Gurke DD783 where he served as a Quarter Master aboard the ship, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Bill received an honorable discharge on December 12, 1968 in San Diego, CA.

Bill married his best friend Terry on February 26, 1966 in Las Vegas. They made their home in Fort Gibson where Bill worked in real estate for many years. His passion was his family.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Christian (Boyd) Frago.
Bill is survived by his wife Terry; son, Brian Boyd and wife Trisha of Omaha, NE; daughters, Michelle (Boyd) Shiew and husband Jason of Gravette, AR and Addison Boyd and fiancé Austin Kerr of Coweta, OK; a sister, Sheryl Gayda and husband Jim of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Noah Frago (Rebecca Fuller), Brooke Sparks (Justyn), Waylon Frago and Jonathan Andrew Shiew; great-grandchildren, Caden Grant Frago, Cooper Jack Frago and Baby Landry Jo Kerr (on the way); extended family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family requests donations in Bill’s name to your favorite ministry.  A private family service will be held.
