Rosella Pollack (Levenson)

Rosella Pollack Levenson

On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Rosella “Polly” Levenson a loving wife and mother of two children passed away at the age of 74. Rosella was born October 16, 1947 in Phoenix Arizona to James and Victoria Pollack. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 1970, becoming an intensive care nurse for over 30 years and working in many different hospitals in the country. On January 23, 1973 she married Leo Levenson. Together they raised one daughter Amber and one son Aaron.

Rosella had a great passion for bringing joy to others. She would often show this by conducting small yet meaningful contributions to society. Whether it was bringing a Popsicle to the garbage men on a hot summer day or buying a homeless person a meal to feed their starving belly, she was always thinking of others rather than herself. She even took joy in embarrassing her children when she would beg for rib bones from strangers at a buffet to give to the dogs when she got home. She brought light and happiness to everyone she interacted with every day. Whether they were strangers or family, all would agree it was a privilege to have lived by her side and been a part of her everyday life.

Rosella was preceded in death by her father James, her mother Victoria, her brothers James and Jackie, and her sister Gracie. She is survived by her husband Leo her two children Amber and Aaron, her sisters Barbra and Margie, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral services will be held on January 25, 2021 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 1:30PM.
