Jimmy Sue Bond-Scherrer

Jimmy Sue Bond-Scherrer, 76 years young, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Friday, February 3rd 2023 at Nathen Adelson Hospice after a bravely fought battle against cancer.

She was the only child born January 9, 1947 in Peru, Kansas to James and Mary Louise Bond. She finally found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of 46, when she married Bob Michael Scherrer whom also resided in Las Vegas, Nevada and has preceded her in passing.

Jimmy Sue received her high school diploma from Las Vegas High School. She immediately entered into the work force as a dog groomer as she loved working with animals. She soon transitioned into the gaming industry. She retired from the Suncoast Hotel and Casino where she worked as a cocktail waitress and quickly advanced into Management. Over the years, she received numerous certificates of appreciation and awards of excellence.

Jimmy was a city girl but a country girl at heart. She had a love for horses. She loved showing them as well as pleasure riding. She enjoyed going to barn hunts with her dogs and lounging with them in her pool. She enjoyed sports and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She knew how to live life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Jimmy Sue is survived by her son and daughter James and Brenda Kelley; her granddaughters Autumn Kelley, Angelica Kelley, and her greatgrandchildren, Marcelo, Geno, Bella and Zander, all of whom resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, and brought great joy to her during her life.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., February 17, 2023 at Palm Mortuary. Repast to follow.
