Hello Friends, I have some very sad news about my sweet Dad, John McDonald.

He peacefully transitioned to Heaven on Friday, 10/16/2020 at 03:23 am in his sleep. I was able to hold him and love on him up until his very last sweet breath.

Took him to the Doctor two weeks ago for stomach pain and jaundice, went right to the hospital from there to find out he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer.   He was in so much pain. He requested to go to Faith Presbyterian hospice on Wednesday; we had two absolutely beautiful days together there before he passed.

The kids were able to spend some really special time with Pappa John at the hospice. Dad was treated like a king! Live Music therapy in his room, massage, a gorgeous suite with a balcony overlooking a lake, the breeze blowing on his beautiful face.  I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful transition for him!!!

Thank you all for your love and prayers!  There won't be a formal service because Dad requested to be cremated and his ashes spread on the beach in Maui.

Thank you all for your memories and pictures of him. He was the best Dad a girl could ask for! He was funny right up to the end despite all of the pain he was feeling!

I can't thank all of the healthcare/hospice workers, Palliative care counselors, friends, and everyone else enough for treating us all so well! God led us through every single minute of the entire thing.  Dad had a happy little smile on his face once he transitioned. It gives me peace.  Dad is smiling down on us all and probably laughing!  Miss you my sweet, funny guy!  Love you forever!!!
