Toni Krouse Langson, 67, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 29, 2014 after an 18 year battle with breast cancer.
                                               
Toni was born on October 22, 1946 in Washington, DC. Her father was a Navy Pilot (Tailhooker) which resulted in her spending her childhood as a "Navy Brat" experiencing many parts of the country. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and worked in the business office of the Stardust Hotel and Casino. During that time she met her husband, Don K. Langson, and they were married on Valentine's Day 1967. They moved to Texas and began their family of three daughters, Ninette, Julie and Shelly. As her children were growing up Toni was actively involved in all of her children's activities while running a successful photography sales business with Don.

In 1984, the family moved to Carson City, Nevada and Don and Toni became business owners of Back In A Flash One Hour Photo for 17 years and later Little People Portraits until she retired in 2011. Toni was actively involved in the Carson City Sunset Rotary Club and served as both Secretary and President through the years. Her passion in the club revolved around the youth programs and helping local youth participate in the RYLA High School Leadership Camp, Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership Program, Rotary Youth Exchange Program and the Rotary High School Speech Competition. She also hosted Rotary Members from all over the world in her home while they were here visiting Carson City. Toni enjoyed gourmet cooking, needlepoint, gardening, traveling, reading cookbooks and mostly spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Don Krage Langson; her step-father, Larry Caldwell, of San Antonio, TX; her brothers Michael David Krouse of Phoenix, AZ and Michael J. Krouse of San Francisco, CA; her daughters, Ninette Langson Goucher (Rob), of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Julie Langson Cowan (Mike), of Carson City, Shelly Langson Plaut (Jason), of Carson City; her nine grandchildren, Ashton Goucher, Allison Cowan, Taylor Anderson, Andrew Cowan, Walker Plaut, Tenielle Plaut, Kendall-Anne Goucher, Abigail Cowan, Trace Goucher and her favorite dog Daisy. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael H. Krouse and her mother, Julia Harms (Krouse) Caldwell.

Services are to be held on Saturday, April 5 at 10 AM at Fitzhenry's Funeral Home at 3945 Fairview Dr. A reception will follow at her home at 1687 Fair Way. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Toni Langson Rotary Youth Scholarship Fund at PO Box 21022, Carson City, NV 89721.
