Madeline Fedele DuBuc

Madeline Fedele DuBuc, age 70, passed away April 24, 2018 in Las Vegas.  She was born October 7, 1947 in Salinas, California to parents Dora Lynn “Doe” (Woods) and John Elbi Fedele.  The family moved to Las Vegas where Madeline attended John S Park Elementary, John C Fremont Jr. High, and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965.

Madeline was a "rock" to so many and touched lives and hearts in her community of Las Vegas for many years. Madeline was an inspiration to many and lived her life with an authentic heart and genuine goodness. Madeline walked her life path with a beautiful grace and strength that inspired anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Madeline led an active lifestyle and joined her friends and family in playing golf, tennis, yoga and taking walks.

She married Robert Edward DuBuc in Las Vegas on March 17, 1976.  They had two children, Renee (Robert) Swackhamer of Reno, NV, and Joseph M DuBuc of Las Vegas. 

Madeline was preceded in death by her mother and father, and by her sister Karen Smith of Fort Collins, Colorado, who passed away one week before Madeline.  Madeline had beaten a bout of cancer in 2011 and was in full remission.  She was hospitalized two weeks prior to her death for pneumonia; while there it was discovered she had lung cancer which had metastasized to other organs.  She passed away in the hospital.

She is survived by her children; her brother Stephen Fedele of Las Vegas; and his children Stefanie, Zachary, and Josh Fedele, whom she cared for as if they were her own; and grandchildren Emily, Andrew, and Mathew Swackhamer.
