Louis Paul Eaquinta, Jr.

Louis Paul Eaquinta, Jr. was born at Price, UT on May 29, 1947, to parents Louis P Sr. and Florence (Selan) Eaquinta, both long time residents of Utah.  Louis Sr's parents emigrated from Italy in 1903 and 1907, and their first of ten children was born in Helper, UT in 1908.

The family moved to Las Vegas where Louis graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965.  His passion in life was art.  He moved to San Francisco after high school, and attended the San Francisco Art Institute.  He became a successful freelance artist and also worked as a framing specialist at high end San Francisco art galleries.

He was a frequent invited exhibitor at San Francisco Art Festivals, through his affiliation with City College of San Francisco - Fort Mason Art Campus.

Louis passed away from cancer at Cupertino, CA on July 12, 2011; age 64.  He was survived by his mother Florence, two sisters, Paula and Sandra, both of California, and many cousins.

Kathryn Hicks (Morelli)

Lou lived in San Francisco most of his adult life and was a good friend.  He went to the San Francisco Art Institute and was so creative and talented.  He was an original thinker with an ironic and dry sense of humor.  And a kind and faithful friend.  I miss his friendship.
