Respiratory infection October 7, 2005

Avis Briard:  In loving memory of Avis M. Briard, 57, of Las Vegas, who met the angels Friday, Oct. 7, 2005. She was born Nov. 5, 1947, in New Orleans.

Avis is survived by her mother, Florine Picardo of Edmonds, Wash.; her fiance, Don Malunat of Las Vegas; sons, Tony Sanchez (Terry) of Pahrump, Samuel McLaughlin (Amy) of California; and daughter, Sharmayne Sanchez of Las Vegas. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Arkinson (John) of Las Vegas, Marilyn White (John) of California, Tamara York (Charles) of Las Vegas, and Donna Picardo of Seattle; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Avis was loved and very special to many people in her life, especially her nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her ever so much. She will be remembered by her caring and giving heart, personal accomplishments, great sense of humor, enduring so much pain - never complaining and last but not least those big brown eyes, beautiful smile and her sensitivity.

"Our" Avis will be missed and may she rest in peace.
