Curtis Thorp Breeden

CURTIS BREEDEN Curtis T. Breeden, 70, of Henderson, passed away May 16, 2018 with his family at his bedside. He was born September 19, 1947, to Arlyse and Lloyd Breeden II, in Phoenix, Ariz. the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Curtis graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965.

Curtis served in the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry Division, during the Vietnam War, earning several medals for his honorable patriotism. He was a retired surveyor.

Curtis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a proud soccer dad and grandpa, who was quick witted and always sharply dressed. He loved the Simpsons, NCIS, car shows, pizza, beer, popcorn, Shania Twain and his fur-babies, Jasmine and Rambo. Most of all, he loved anything involving his children and grandchildren.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Curtis is survived by his ex-wife and partner, Shirley; children, Erik (Nicole), Bryan (Angela), and Jennifer; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryder, Brody, and Kade; siblings, Trey (Christie), and Sandy (Howard) Kagiyama; nephews, Mark (Keri) Saunders, Christian, and Hart; and extended family, the Tobiassons and Kaplans.

A Gathering will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 3, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m., both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. A private burial will be June 5, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Boulder City, NV 89005. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate towards an engraved paver at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, contact Jennifer or Shirley. "You will forever be in our hearts."
