Pami Eileen Texler Durley

The night sky is brighter with a brand-new super star. Pami Eileen Durley passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2020. She had battled lung cancer and other physical challenges for over a decade, and all the while sharing unconditional love as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a special friend to so very many.

Pami was born on March 7, 1947 in Nyack New York and later moved to Las Vegas where she graduated from Las Vegas High School, and then attended University of Nevada - Las Vegas.  She then moved to Reno where she met musician Lee Durley in 1972. After a short time on the road, they eventually landed in Monterey California and a legacy was born. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters and five grandchildren.

Pami was a brilliant lyricist and poet and the couple went on to compose hundreds of songs for every occasion. Lee and Pami were an integral part of the Monterey music scene for several decades. She had an incredible sense of humor and a passion for children, animals, art, close friends, Jeopardy, Andy of Mayberry and the Golden Girls.

She is survived by husband Lee Durley, daughters Lea and Addie, grandchildren Elijah, Chloe, Aiden, Faye Ella, Avalon, step daughter Dionne Elisabeth and Chihuahua Sammy Davis Jr.

Because of the present Covid 19 quarantine, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a more appropriate time.
